The last step in designing your counter top is to pick out the edging. Granite edges add style and put the finishing touch on your beautiful, new counter top.

Below are a few samples of common edges non-laminated, (or one piece) that are used with 3/4" or 1 1/4" thick granite and laminated pieces (two 3/4" pieces fused together)

Granite companies may call the same edge several different names. For example the first edge listed above, is often referred to as: standard edge, flat edge and straight edge.
There is also always the option to design your own edge at an additional cost.

Make sure before you decide on your own design or one of their edges, that you see the edge on a piece of sample stone. Printing out examples or drawing out your design, can help ensure that your contractor understands exactly what you expect.
